Vicenza door handle
Project description
Well-known Swiss designer, Florin Baeriswyl of dai AG in Zurich, found his inspiration for the shape of the new range of door handles in Italy: in the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza. Built in the 16th century by Andrea Palladio, this building is characterised by the sophisticated way in which it plays with perspective. To emphasise the illusion of depth on the stage, the stage floor ascends - and the houses painted on the backdrop are made smaller to increase the perspective. Glutz has developed and manufactured the new Vicenza line on the basis of Baeriswyl's design proposals. |

What made us decide on Glutz?
Glutz succeeded in implementing this demanding design perfectly: these door handles stand out thanks to their lightness and elegance - brought about by the dynamics of foreshortening.
Glutz products used
The Glutz Vicenza range encompasses handles for exterior and interior doors, as well as a window catch. A further development already planned is the incorporation of signaletic or electronic components into the voluminous end of the door handle. In this way, the open, modular design concept can be interestingly combined with high-tech equipment.
